Red Wing Black (WIP)
White boy Shane decides to walk the dusty roads in self-induced exile. Like the greats. He's never finished a thing in his life. He's a starving artist. You know. He needs to find himself. Enter Kaysha, the motorcycle-riding, gun-toting, whiskey-drinking, devil-may-care badass who couldn't give a shit about anyone. He's gotta get his shit together if he's gonna shoot straight. And maybe, just maybe, he'll find something to fight for beyond the top score of Mortal Kombat. A Literary Coming-of-Age in the Age of Trump, with a cast of mostly imagined characters on an open road.
This upmarket novel spins around an unlikely love story between two renegades: Shane wants to prove himself and Kaysha just wants to get even. They plan a heist, stay one step ahead of the Scorpion gang and police--one in the same--and try to not get each other killed in the process. Beneath tequila and bullet casings, they find some semblance of peace. And a lot of money. Oh, and maybe love.
